The SKF TMEH 1 is a portable device that displays up-to-date information about the oil condition, making a time-consuming laboratory test unnecessary in many cases. With the SKF Oil Check Monitor, qualitative measurements of the dielectric constant of lubricating oil can be carried out. Comparative measurements of oil of the same brand, type and if possible also batch make it possible to determine the extent of the changes in the dielectric constant of the oil. Since such changes can depend, among other things, on the aging and the degree of contamination of the oil, oil change intervals can be determined on the basis of machine-specific empirical values ​​and, if necessary, trends in mechanical wear and deterioration in the lubricity of the oil can also be determined. The device has a numerical display for easier monitoring of the state development.
